AIARE Avalanche Courses in Washington help backcountry skiers, splitboarders, winter climbers, and touring partners build practical avalanche safety skills for travel in the Cascades. Choose from AIARE 1, AIARE 2, and Avalanche Rescue courses near Mount Baker, Mount Rainier, and Snoqualmie Pass.

Our field-based courses focus on avalanche terrain recognition, weather and avalanche forecast use, CalTopo trip planning, companion rescue, group communication, and decision-making for safer backcountry tours.
