Guided Exposure Payment and Cancellation Policies
It is your responsibility to be familiar with our Payment, Cancellation, and Rescheduling Policies. When you book a trip with Guided Exposure, you are agreeing to our policies outlined below:
Payment Information
Full payment is required at the time of booking for all domestic courses and trips.
A 25% deposit is required for booking International Trips (including Alaska) more than 90 days prior to the trip start date. Full payment is required 60 days prior to the trip.
For private trips, contact us via phone (360) 389-2430 or email (info@guidedexposure.com), and we will either process the payment over the phone or send a link to easily book online.
Cancellation Policy
We recommend that you purchase travel insurance to protect your trip purchase against unforeseeable events. Our cancellation policy is outlined below, and Guided Exposure will not offer refunds or credits for trips purchased outside of these guidelines:
If you cancel your trip for any reason 60 days or more prior to the scheduled course/trip for domestic trips and 90 days or more prior to the trip for international trips (includes Alaska), you will receive a FULL REFUND minus half of your deposit. All cancellation requests must be made in writing via email 60 days or more prior to your scheduled course/trip start date.
NO REFUNDS or credits will be offered for any cancellations within 60 days for domestic trips/courses and within 90 days for international trips (includes Alaska), for any reason including but not limited to weather-related, climbing or skiing conditions, COVID-related, or injuries.
Rescheduling Policy
If you are wanting to reschedule the course or trip that you have registered for, as a courtesy we will try to work with you to reschedule with more than 30 days notice, if the space is available. Please know, all of our pre-scheduled courses and trips have a minimum number of participants required to run the course, and it may not be possible for us to reschedule your original course date. This is at the sole discretion of Guided Exposure, and any schedule changes are subject to $150 per person fees. All rescheduling requests must be written and submitted via email 30 days prior to the course start date.
As mentioned, all of our pre-scheduled trips have a minimum number of participants required to make the trip available at the price offered. Participants who have signed up for a course that does not have the minimum number of participants will be notified by Guided Exposure staff two weeks prior to the start of the course, and will be given the option of making the course a private program for an additional cost (our current private guiding rates), given credit to apply to another program, or be refunded in full.
Trip Insurance
Though travel insurance is not required for our courses and trips, we highly recommend our clients purchase travel insurance to protect against unforeseeable events. Medical and security emergencies happen. When they do, we rely on Global Rescue to provide our clients with medical, security, travel risk, and crisis response services. Without a membership, an emergency evacuation could cost over $100,000. More than one million members trust Global Rescue to get them home safely when the unexpected happens.
Global Rescue is an industry leader, providing medical and security advisory and evacuation services to travelers around the world. Global Rescue offers field rescue from the point of your injury or illness.
