Women’s AIARE 1 Course

The Women’s AIARE 1 course is a supportive winter backcountry education experience for women and female-identifying skiers, splitboarders, snowshoers, climbers, and mountain travelers. This course is designed to build confidence, decision-making skills, and community while learning the AIARE 1 framework.

Students combine online learning, instructor support, and field-based practice to learn how to plan winter tours, recognize terrain, observe conditions, communicate with partners, and make thoughtful decisions outside.
