Develop your backcountry skiing and avalanche skills in the Legendary Mount Baker Backcountry: Women's Mentorship Days
Join Guided Exposure for a 1-day women’s avalanche training mentorship course designed to build confidence and knowledge in the backcountry. This intensive program, led by experienced female guides, combines avalanche safety education with mentorship tailored specifically for women identifying skiers and splitboarders. Participants will gain practical hands-on experience in avalanche terrain while learning critical decision-making and risk management strategies.
As a team, we will review the avalanche forecast and learn how to make a plan that aligns with the current conditions and weather, supported by guides who model decision-making and risk management. Two nights before the tour, there will be an online Zoom meeting to review the plan, discuss conditions, and answer questions.
This women-led avalanche course emphasizes snowpack analysis, avalanche rescue practice, safe route selection, and group leadership. By blending mentorship with technical avalanche training, you’ll walk away with the tools to travel more safely, lead with confidence, and connect with a supportive community of women in the mountains.
