Itinerary

  • Day 1: Gear check, hike into camp, and practice multipitch ice climbing techniques on the seracs of the lower Coleman Glacier.
  • Day 2: Climb the North Ridge and descend the Coleman-Deming back to camp, or use as a weather day to continue multipitch ice climbing skills.
  • Day 3: Hike out to the trailhead, or climb the North Ridge if weather was poor on Day 2.

  • Strong Fitness: Be prepared for 3 consecutive days of rigorous climbing.
  • Ice Climbing Experience: Prior ice climbing experience is preferred.
