Mount Baker Summit Ski Trip: Experience the Ultimate Ski Descent

Experience the alpine splendor of Ski Mountaineering on Mount Baker

Join us for 1, 2, or 3-day ski ascent and descent adventure on Mount Baker. Our guided tours offer the perfect blend of climbing and skiing, making for an unforgettable backcountry experience.

Multi-Day Ascent and Ski Descents

Spend your nights in a basecamp on the moraines surrounding Kulshan, the native Lummi name meaning "white mountain". Evening runs each day will help you get your ski legs under you. On summit day, we will time our departure to ensure the best snow quality for the descent. In the spring, this optimal snow condition is called "corn," which many skiers find as delightful as powder. Possible routes include the Coleman-Deming, Squak, or Boulder Glacier Routes.

Single-Day Summit Ascent

For those with strong fitness and skiing ability, we offer a single-day summit of Mount Baker via classic glacier routes such as the Coleman-Deming, Squak, or Boulder Glaciers. Travel light with a long 10-14 hour day, skiing up to 7,200' of vertical from Kulshan's 10,781' summit. A minimum of 2 participants is required for single-day trips.

Ski Routes

Choose from classic glacier routes such as:

  • Coleman-Deming Glacier
  • Squak Glacier
  • Boulder Glacier

Mount Baker Ski Mountaineering School Course

During the 3 day trip each participant aiming to summit Mount Baker will receive a comprehensive Mount Baker Ski Mountaineering School Course. This ensures that the learning outcomes align with the objectives and skills taught.
