Splitboard mountaineering day pack gear check.

Learn what equipment I carry on single day splitboard mountaineering trips in the North Cascades.

This kit is equipped for non-technical glacier ascents and complex snowboard descents. More technical ascents, different times of the year, your personal experience, and comfort level may require a different kit. Each piece offers versatility and is a guideline for those that have proficiency in a variety of glacier travel, crevasse rescue, and route-finding techniques.

With this kit I feel comfortable climbing with someone that has a complimentary kit, has similar climbing and riding abilities, while traveling in complex glaciated terrain on moderate to steep shred descents in spring conditions.

Seek qualified in person instruction, spend time practicing skills in low consequence terrain, and take your time gaining experience in the unforgiving mountain environment. For more info about the Petzl Rad Line follow this link: https://www.petzl.com/US/en/Sport/Rop...
