Ski & Splitboard Touring: 2 Day

If you have been waiting for the opportunity to explore life beyond the lifts or polish your existing skill set then the 2 day Splitboard & Ski Touring Course is for you. 

During the 2 day Splitboard & Ski Touring course you’ll start with the foundation of skinning technique and efficient transitions and end with setting skin track contours safely through the mountains. Come join us if you want to make the most of a powder filled backcountry day!

• Binding and stance adjustments for splitters
  
• Transceiver check
• Equipment use and care
• Split movement
• Skin track setting
• Kick turns
• Efficient transitions
• Downhill considerations for snowboarders
• Transceiver Search
• Advanced skinning techniques
• Downhill split strategies

This course is not a substitute for an AIARE 1 course but instead compliments it. Have an avalanche course coming up this is a great way to prepare.

Cancellation Policy

Domestic trips and courses cancelled more than 21 days before the start date will be refunded minus 3% and $75 processing fee. Cancellations 20 days or less in advance of the start date will be given a Guided Exposure Credit, minus a $75 processing fee. Cancelling a trip or course in 13 days or less of the start date will not be refunded. International trips have a 90 day cancellation policy.
