Ski Mountaineering Course

The 4 day course will take place on one of Mount Bakers beautiful glaciers or nearby in the North Cascades National Park. Over 3 nights and 4 days we will introduce, practice, and apply the skills necessary for climbing Cascadian Volcanoes and peaks abroad. Each day we will takes runs around the glaciers while allowing participants the opportunity to get out front and lead the group. Under the supervision of our experienced guides you can receive direct feedback and immediately apply the feedback resulting in skill development.

Best For

  • Strong Intermediate or higher ski and skinning ability
  • Ability to ski or ride with a backpack
  • Moderate or above fitness (ascend 4,700 vertical feet over 4 miles in a day)

  • Fitness for 4 days in the mountains
