During this 4 day course advanced to expert splitboarders will travel through the heavily glaciated terrain on Mount Baker or Mount Shuksan into steeper and more remote objectives including Mount Sherman & Colfax Peak, or the Boulder Glacier.  At the same time adding proficiency in navigation, snow camping and craft, and technical descents using a rope.

This experience will prepare capable riders to progress through more difficult routes, off the beaten path, on mountains around the world.

  • Very good fitness for 4 Days of traveling, riding, and mountaineering. 

Itinerary

Day 1: Meet and greet, gear check, travel into camp on the glacier

Day 2: Pack up camp and introduce and review roped glacier travel, route finding, self arrest, and rappelling. Ride a warm up objective into our next camp.

Day 3: Pack up camp, introduce and review snow anchors, crevasse rescue, navigation, belayed riding, Ride from a summit and descend into our next camp.

Day 4: Pack up camp, apply all relevant skills while executing a summit climb and descent. Return to trailhead.

Cancellation Policy

Domestic trips and courses cancelled more than 20 days before the start date will be refunded in full. Cancellations less than 20 days in advance of the start date will be given a refund, minus a $75 processing fee. Cancelling a trip or course in 10 days or less of the start date will not be refunded. International trips have a 60 day cancellation policy.
