A moderate glacier walk leads up to Shuksans mighty summit pyramid. This piercing summit block offers 360 degrees of climbing from easy class 3 and class 4 scrambling in the Central Gulley to easy climbing on the 5.4 South East Ridge, to hard winter test pieces on the west face.

The Sulphide Glacier to the central gulley offers guests the chance to set up their mountaineering skills from the standard glacier routes on Cascadian volcanoes such as the Coleman Deming on Mount Baker or the Disappointment Cleaver on Mount Rainier. By adding class 3 and a touch of class 4 scrambling new climbers can get a perfect introduction to climbing. For more adventurous or nimble climbers the approachable South East Ridge offers class 4 scrambling with small short steps of class 5 climbing.
